Sky has managed put an end to BBC’s exclusivity towards telecasting the Masters golf tournament. From the past 24 years BBC was the only channel having the sole rights but now Sky will be sharing it as well.
2011 onwards Sky will be telecasting the prestigious golf tournament. Sky’s sports channels will telecast the live coverage of the opening 2 rounds. BBC will share the coverage of the final 2 rounds with Sky. This would make Sky sports the place to watch all the four days of the Masters cup live. BBC though still has the exclusive rights of the radio and online telecast rights of the tournament.
With Sky Talk Free Time get free evening and weekend calls. Sky Talk Unlimited get unlimited UK landline calls, weekend calls and unlimited international call.
The best part is the golf fans would enjoy the tournament in 3D. Sky’s 3D channel is slated for launch on October, 1, 2010 and after its launch Sky will have a lot to offer to the 3D TV lovers.
Sky’s 3D channel, which has been launched in pubs and clubs around UK, are already broadcasting live sports and action films. Its entry in UK homes will be very soon and with Ryder cup already to be telecasted in 3D the golf enthusiasts just cannot ask of anything more.
Golf has always been sport of interest for Sky. Its partnership with the sport has been growing strong since the past 2 decades now. Sky Sports has tried to keep the sports fans glued to their TV screens and give them the action live and exclusive. Now with Sky’s 3D channel the excitement of watching live sports would build up even more.
